He’s also the promoter of Prince Carl Philip’s Racing Trophy and Swedish E-Kart Championship with the Rotax E20. A man truly passionate about racing since he was competing himself, Thomas has teamed up with Prince Carl Philip and Porsche racing in Scandinavia to build a successful future for the new generation in karting.

Prince Carl Philip is the Duke of Värmland in Sweden and a familiar face on the race track – both in karts and racing cars. He started driving about 20 years ago and has been competing since 2008, now a regular entry in Porsche Carrera Cup & Sprint Challenge Scandinavia.

The second edition of the Swedish E-Kart Championship, featuring the Rotax E20 electric karts, has made its way into the history books at Gelleråsen Arena near the city of Karlskoga. The winner of the 2024 national title was Junior Jonsson in the Senior category, while Jonatan Morin took the honours in the Masters. Both the winners were awarded with their tickets to join Team Sweden at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals taking place in Sarno, Italy this October 19-26.

The Danish E-Kart Championship is set to return for the third time to the Scandinavian country that is making the green transition as pioneers in clean energy. An international line-up is anticipated by race organisers in Denmark for the running of this year’s electric-powered event on August 9-11, with three classes of the CIK-FIA Approved Rotax E20 on the program. The venue is the 1,245-metre Rødby Karting Ring along the Baltic coastline. There are Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals tickets to be awarded to the winners in the E20 Senior and E20 Masters categories for the headline event in Sarno, Italy this October. The leading E20 Junior driver will receive a 5.000€ Rotax voucher.

The Franciacorta Karting Track hosted the third round of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy. 236 drivers competed on the 1330-meter circuit located in Lombardy, which is recognized as one of the best in the world.

BRP-Rotax is thrilled to announce that CIK-FIA Approval has been confirmed for the Rotax E20 electric powertrain. This makes the new generation power unit the first ever E-Kart to be awarded this level of certification in karting. Adding to this ground-breaking news, the Rotax E20 championship at the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy becomes the first CIK-FIA Approved International Series for Electrically Powered Karts worldwide in 2024.

The second edition of the Swedish Championship for the Rotax E20 E-Kart will take place at the new Gellerasen Arena karting track at Karlskoga, incorporated into Sweden’s oldest motor racing circuit, on August 15-17. Two Rotax E20 classes will be clsoely contested at the historical ‘Kanonloppet’ (Canon Race), which was first run almost 75 years ago, together with the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and an extensive motorsport program with an estimated 10,000 spectators attending. There are RMC Grand Finals 2024 tickets, trophies, prizemoney plus a Porsche watch to be won!
