The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy on the last weekend in May is looking forward to a series highlight. The International championship of the Austrian engine manufacturer BRP-Rotax welcomes a new track on the calendar from May 27 to 29. For the first time, an event will take place on the demanding circuit in Val d'Argenton, France – bringing a new challenge for all the drivers and teams participating.

Kart magazin editor Luca Köster had an exciting experience from April 22nd to 24th in Genk, Belgium. As part of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, the 24-year-old had the chance to sit behind the wheel of an electric kart for the first time. The active kart driver accepted the invitation of BRP-Rotax and competed in the Project E20 in the Senior category. He reports on his impressions of the racetrack, his opinion on the potential drive concept of the future and the pleasing end of his weekend in a personal background story.

The Corona pandemic has already made life difficult for motorsport for the last two years, now there are additional global circumstances that complicate the current situation. Unfortunately, this is also noticeable in the DEKM. Despite a high level of commitment, the championship does not have an adequate field of participants for this year and is sitting out the coming season.

The annual highlight of the Rotax karting season, the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals will take place this year in Portimão, Portugal from November 19th – 26th, 2022 and the Rotax Team is already in full progress for the preparation of the event.

The first decisions have been made in the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy. More than 200 drivers started in Genk, Belgium last weekend and kicked-off the racing season of the highly-competitive karting championship. In the best weather, the numerous spectators enjoyed lots of racing action and the first winners of the year were celebrated in the seven Rotax categories. Four drivers achieved double victories in Sunday’s Finals.

The Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy is on track for the highly-anticipated return to the famous Le Mans Karting International circuit from July 26th to 30th, 2022. Around 300 drivers from all over the world will compete for victory in the Rotax categories and this year will also see the premiere of the Rotax Project E20 Senior class, where the winner will be awarded their invitation ticket for the annual Rotax Racing highlight, the RMC Grand Finals 2022.

In an exciting announcement for the future of Rotax E-Karting in Sweden, Prince Carl Philip’s Racing Trophy will organise the first Swedish E-Kart Champi-onship, including both the Rotax E20 Junior and Senior classes on the program from August 25-28 at the ‘Green Track Resort’ venue GTR Motorpark, in the season that the prominent national event will celebrate a very special 10th anniversary.

Last weekend in Campillos, Spain, it was all about karting! The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy Winter Cup marks the start of the international racing season of the renowned single-brand racing series. 156 drivers competed at the Circuito Karting Campillos and presented top class racing at the start of the year.
